People have been drawn to Äkäslompolo for years. No matter if you visit the area as a tourist or come here to work for a season, many return year after year, and some never leave. They say „if you drink the water you’ll never leave“ and the same happend to us, we drank the water. We came here for seasonal work, but then we all fell in love with this magical area and the people, and it became our second home. Now we want to give something back to the community and give you the possibilty to experience the beloved Ylläs area in a new way.
We wanted to do something that brings people closer to the beautiful nature surrounding us and offers a unique experience for this area, and although northern light cabins are booming all over Lapland, we wanted to make them afordable for everyone. We want you to be able to experience this beautiful spot, not only as an overnight guest, but also if you just want to come for sauna or dinner, organize your wedding or enjoy a relaxed evening with friends or family. Our door is open, and we hope to be welcoming you to our home away from home.
